Ferro Silicon Magnesium Description
Ferrosilicon magnesium acts as an inoculant, which means it promotes the formation of graphite nodules in ductile cast iron. The addition of magnesium to the molten iron helps control the graphite formation, transforming flake graphite into a spheroidal or nodular shape. This gives ductile cast iron its unique mechanical properties, such as high ductility, toughness, and improved machinability.
